RASTA Rally Mountain Bike Race
Back for our second year, the RASTA Rally will be held on our trail system we call “Washburn” with over 8 miles of challenging single track, bridges, rock gardens, fast and fun flow trails, and a few whoops sections to boot. Stick around in Northern Wisconsin on May 31st and ride some single track! If you haven’t ridden Washburn lately, you’re in for a pleasant surprise.
We are also really happy to welcome back Nicolet National Bank as our primary sponsor for the race.
Race registration will be at the Perch Lake shelter set on the shores of Perch Lake. There will be two races consisting of a “Short Course” of approximately 8 miles that will use some of the single track, the beginner single track and two track trails for a race of approximately 1-hour. The “Long Course” will use all of Washburn’s single track and some two track for a race of approximately 16 miles that should take 1-1/2 hours to complete (estimated winners time). Yes, our single track is challenging! A “free” short course race for kids up to 11 years old is held after the main event (kids race registration does not include socks). Exact courses and distances will be determined a week prior to race date. For up to date course and other race information, join our RASTA Facebook page or check rastatrails.org.
No glass containers are allowed in the park so bring canned refreshments. Water and Hammer Heed will be provided to racers along with fruit and recovery drinks. Bring food to grill out as there are grills in the Perch Lake Park. We will also have a gas grill on-hand for general use.
